RCRA AND CERCLA PHASE I AND II INVESTIGATIONS
|

Pheasant Services provides Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site
Assessment Services that conform with ASTM Standard E-1527. These services
are conducted by CERTIFIED ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGERS. Services include
background information searches of public land ownership and land use records;
review of environmental site records located at State and Federal Environmental
Protection Agencies; and review of soil, surface water, and groundwater quality
data available from state agencies, EPA and USGS. Pheasant services evaluates
the property for adherence to 40CFR Part 257 criteria related to floodplain
protection, endangered species, surface water and groundwater contamination,
disease pathways, air quality protection, and safety. Physical inspection of the
property is conducted to evaluate historical and current compliance with RCRA
requirements for managing solid wastes, hazardous wastes, and underground
storage tanks. If the property previously was used as either a site for hazardous
waste generation, or was used to treat, store, and dispose of hzardous wastes,
Pheasant Services will evaluate the efficacy of operations to assure they
adequately safeguarded the property from contamination. Conditions at the
property will be documented using high-resolution digital photography.
Pheasant services will advise the client if additional work would be required
under a Phase II study. All work is documented in a Phase I or Phase II ESA
report that includes background information, the methods used in the study, all
data and photographs collected, evaluation of information collected, and
recommendations, if any, for future work.
